JOB SUMMARY ##### Provides compassionate, culturally sensitive, holistic nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, supporting the nursing philosophy. May include variable shifts, weekends, holiday and/or on-call hours. Performs other duties as assigned. # # ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilizes the nursing process# and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.# Documents according to standards of care. Initiates a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction. Floats to various units based on identified needs. Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check. Must be able to follow written/oral instructions. This position is needed to replace Alma Deguzman-Resultay who is moving to a pool position for personal reasons. Without filling this position, there are not enough persons to provide care. MHH has multiple flexible staffing initiatives in place to ensure safe staffing. Current openings in ICU and another full time opening in the ED will impact this vacancy creating potential unsafe conditions requiring Agency backfill. We currently are filling shifts with Shift Coordinator partners and the Nurse Educator. This sometimes causing overtime in either ED or Shift Coordinator budget. This also pulls partners out of their proposed function to fill this void, causing them to not complete their primary duties for their proposed role.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
